Restorative Yoga SessionsA restorative partner yoga session is a choreographed yoga routine experienced by blending movement of the body and breath, while activating Marma points and Sen lines. This all occurs while posturing the giver and receiver through a flow of gentle restorative yoga. As the receiver, this is a passive exercise enabling for full range of motion and relaxation. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes with long sleeves and fully legged, with minimal or no zippers, buttons, or bulky designs. A regular session is 1½ hours; however, there are options for 1 hour and 2 hours. It is best not to eat an hour prior to your session or to only eat lightly and then to consciously hydrate afterward. In Ayurveda, Marma points are anatomical locations in your body where a concentration of life energy exists. These points converge with Nadi lines at various muscle and nerve locations. When activated, it aids in circulation and lymphatic flow. It also produces a powerful mental emotional response in the mind which helps to bring calmness, while simultaneously increasing clarity, perception, insight, and awareness.
