Mentoring / Coaching: Bringing Awareness to Sticky Emotions
Ever feel stuck in old patterns of behavior? Even when you know better? It is important to create awareness to break free from these patterns.
"AOI" - Aware, Own, Integrate – is a methodology to identify and release emotional components that may hinder progress.
Aware: The first step is to bring awareness to the triggers or roadblocks and identify old patterns stored subconsciously.
Own: Acknowledge accountability and take affirmative action to disrupt old patterns, allowing for resolution, change, and letting go.
Integrate: With the disruption of old neural pathways, a declaration is made to support balance and centering, providing an opportunity for new neural connections to support goals.
Learn how to utilize the plasticity of the brain and its ability to change and adapt, highlighting the importance of mindfulness in rewiring old patterns to better align with current situations.
Mindfulness with Motion: Creating synergy with breath, body & choice.
... A Word from Ann ...“Mindfulness with Motion” is a way to improve mental capacity, soften anxiety and depression, and strengthen the immune system. It has been scientifically shown that practicing Mindfulness activates and strengthens the Pre-frontal Cortex (PFC). The PFC regulates the executive functions of the brain; the ability to focus and sustain attention, manage frustration, regulate emotions, utilize memory and access recall. It is the part of the brain we use to monitor and self-regulate. Mindfulness has been defined as “paying attention, to the present moment, non-judgmentally, as if your life depended on it”. My life has depended on it. With a decade of mindfulness practice, certifications and trainings, I have been able to navigate and find the JOY.
I have personally experienced bouts of depression, anxiety and auto immune struggles. Through Mindfulness and Restorative Yoga, I have increased my capacity to go through the ebb and flow of these difficulties more effectively.
Come learn to live in the present moment. Let excessive worry, planning, ruminating, defensiveness, walking on egg shells and everything else that highjacks the present moment move to the sidelines. Learn how to bring awareness to the space between stimulus and response. Instead of automatically defaulting to less-effective patterns, make choices that strengthen effectiveness. Utilize the body’s innate healings properties and restore balance with Restorative Partner Yoga.
Regular Mindfulness practice and Restorative Partner Yoga can improve focus, emotional regulation of depression and anxiety, and strengthen memory and the immune system.
